Position Overview: The Merchandiser will be responsible for planning and executing merchandising strategies that enhance product visibility and drive sales across various retail channels. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing market trends, and ensuring that our products are presented in a compelling and accessible manner to consumers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and Implement Merchandising Strategies:
- Develop and execute merchandising plans that align with the brand’s objectives and marketing strategies.
- Create visually appealing product displays and layouts to enhance customer engagement and sales.
- Ensure consistent brand representation across all retail locations.
- Retail Execution:
- Visit retail locations to assess product placement, stock levels, and display conditions.
- Work closely with store managers and staff to ensure optimal product presentation.
- Implement promotional displays and ensure they are set up correctly and on time.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and product teams to align merchandising efforts with overall business goals.
- Communicate effectively with retail partners to ensure compliance with merchandising plans.
- Provide feedback and insights to the product development team based on customer and market observations.
- Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to inform merchandising strategies.
- Prepare and present reports on merchandising performance, including sales data, stock levels, and promotional effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations to enhance merchandising effectiveness.
- Inventory Management:
- Ensure optimal stock levels are maintained at all retail locations.
- Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to manage inventory flow and replenishment.
- Address any stock-related issues promptly to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in merchandising, preferably within the CPG industry.
- Strong understanding of retail merchandising principles and best practices.
- Excellent visual design and presentation skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
