Reporting Structure: The Chicago Regional Executive reports directly to the President and CFO, holding a key position within the executive team.

Overview: The Regional Director will be responsible for optimizing operational efficiency and financial success within the Chicago region. Responsibilities encompass leadership of project managers and operational teams, continual assessment of departmental objectives, advancement of training initiatives, and cultivation of robust vendor relationships. The primary objective is to surpass planned margin goals, ensuring top-tier customer service, fostering market expansion, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct weekly assessments of margin performance and regional dynamics with top leadership.
  • Collaborate with the Estimating Department in reviewing bids and vendor selections.
  • Lead weekly sessions addressing project performance in Project Management and Operations Meetings.
  • Bi-weekly oversight of new project startup phases.
  • Enhance tracking mechanisms using tools such as Smartsheet, Domo, and tailored procurement reports.
  • Participate in monthly strategy sessions on marketing with top leadership.
  • Direct oversight of on-site safety, ensuring OSHA compliance, and optimizing warehouse procedures.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Extensive background in millwork and finish carpentry subcontracting.
  • Strong preference for on-site or in-shop experience.
  • Project management experience as a subcontractor or vendor
  • Proven ability in team-building and implementation of best practices.
  • Effective time management skills with a proactive “Whatever It Takes” mindset.
  • Adherence to and embodiment of core organizational values.
