The Master Data Management Specialist is essential for maintaining, improving, and overseeing the master data to support our operations and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement master data management (MDM) strategies, policies, and procedures tailored to the remanufacturing industry.
  • Work with IT teams to configure and maintain MDM systems, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and secure.
  • Provide training and support to end users to enhance understanding and adoption of MDM processes and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure they align with business objectives.
  • Manage the creation, maintenance, and cleansing of master data across various systems and platforms.
  • Lead initiatives to define data governance frameworks, standards, and best practices to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Establish data quality metrics, monitor data integrity, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on master data concepts, technologies, and tools, offering guidance and support to stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and optimization within the master data management process.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to master data management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Over 3 years of experience in master data management, data governance, or a similar role, ideally within the manufacturing or remanufacturing industry.
  • Deep understanding of MDM concepts, methodologies, and best practices, including data modeling, data profiling, and data stewardship.
  • Proficiency with MDM tools and technologies such as Informatica MDM, IBM InfoSphere, or SAP Master Data Governance.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify data issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and organizational levels.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and data integrity.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP) or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) are a plus.
