Head of Finance – Take the Lead in Scaling Financial Strategy

About the Role
As the Head of Finance, you will report directly to the Co-Founder and lead a small but mighty finance team. You’ll work across various finance functions, including accounting, FP&A, reporting, billing, and collections, while supporting key leaders in sales and marketing. Your mission is to drive financial reporting, budget management, and ensure that the financial engine of the company is running efficiently as the company scales toward its next phase of growth.
They are currently doing $50M in revenue and received their Series A funding for over $50M.
You’ll be a critical partner to multiple departments, helping leaders understand metrics, ensuring financial data integrity, and supporting company strategy through detailed analysis and forecasting.
Responsibilities
Lead finance operations: FP&A, reporting, accounting, billing, collections, and budgeting.
Support senior leadership, including Head of Sales and Head of Marketing, by providing insights on key performance metrics and supporting strategic decision-making.
Ensure accurate monthly financial reporting and handle day-to-day invoicing, collections, and tracking against targets.
Build and implement scalable financial processes to optimize efficiency and ensure data consistency.
Analyze sales metrics, marketing performance, and develop compensation programs tied to company-wide KPIs.
Drive cohesion and consolidation between financial systems and processes, making workflows smarter and more efficient.
Deliver 10/10 financial modeling in Google Sheets and produce clear, actionable reports.
Take ownership of the budgeting process, continuously refining and streamlining it to support growth objectives.
Work with a growing customer base of 100+ clients, ensuring all processes related to finance are optimized for scale.
Requirements
8+ years of experience in finance, with hands-on knowledge of both accounting and FP&A.
Experience working in Series A/B startups and taking them through to other levels of funding.
A background that blends startup experience with roles in more established companies.
Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail—able to dig into the numbers and extract actionable insights.
A proactive problem solver with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to build processes that scale.
Mastery of Google Sheets, QuickBooks, and other financial tools; excellent financial modeling skills.
Experience managing a finance team, ensuring key deliverables such as monthly reports and billing are completed on time.
Ability to work across teams, from sales to marketing, and help drive performance metrics and compensation structures that align with business objectives.
Must be located on the East Coast.
Compensation & Benefits
$180K – $220K base salary, plus 10% bonus and equity opportunities.
