Role: Director of Operations
Location: Inwood, NY (Long Island)
Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 (based on experience + performance bonus)
A growing eCommerce company is hiring a Director of Operations to lead its warehouse and fulfillment teams. You’ll oversee daily logistics, serve as the key link between warehouse and office, and drive performance across Amazon and other .com retail operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and knows how to get teams moving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory, shipping (Amazon FBA + FBM), and returns.
- Act as the main liaison between the warehouse floor and office leadership.
- Directly manage the Warehouse Manager and Returns Manager.
- Set and enforce KPIs, implement processes, and hold teams accountable for results.
- Work with the COO to align operational strategy and execution.
- Maintain tight coordination with buyers, ensuring smooth product intake and outbound flow.
- Drive urgency and clarity across teams—identify issues early, solve problems fast.
- Ensure smooth operations across Amazon and other online retail platforms.
What We’re Looking For:
- Must have true warehouse oversight experience, not just logistics or office-based ops.
- Strong Amazon operations experience: FBA, FBM, inventory planning, and fulfillment.
- Proven success managing warehouse teams and driving performance with metrics.
- Confident problem-solver who can implement structure and fix inefficiencies.
- Hands-on, energetic leader who sets the pace and leads from the floor.
- Highly organized, systems-driven, and strong communicator.
