Senior Planner – Hybrid (NY)

Hire With Jarvis is partnering with a growing lifestyle retail partner to bring on a Senior Planner focused on driving wholesale planning success and inventory optimization across key men’s and women’s apparel businesses.

As Senior Planner, you will be at the heart of commercial planning and forecasting, helping ensure that open-to-buy plans, inventory levels, and sales strategies align with financial goals. This role matters because strong planning drives better business decisions, stronger retailer relationships, and improved profitability.
 
What you will do
In this role your day-to-day focus will be hands-on and cross-functional:

• Gather, update, and publish weekly retail sales results using advanced Excel reporting
• Analyze sales results and highlight trends, risks, and opportunities to influence next steps
• Create and maintain weekly and seasonal forecast files to support customer sales, receipts, markdowns, and stock levels
• Own account-level seasonal open-to-buy (OTB) planning to drive better inventory decisions with retail partners
• Analyze current and past assortment performance to inform future planning strategies
• Run monthly and ad-hoc reports to pinpoint business insights by channel or region
• Participate in market appointment meetings and business reviews, clearly communicating planning insights
• Support the broader Planning team on projects and process improvements
• Build strong and collaborative working relationships with internal and external partners
• Contribute to a positive and results-oriented team culture that values clarity and accountability

This role is built for someone who brings a thoughtful mix of analytical strength, industry experience, and proactive problem solving. You’ll be a strong fit if you have:

• 5 to 8 years of experience in wholesale or retail planning with significant exposure to forecasting, OTB management, and inventory analysis
• Excellent analytical skills with advanced Excel fluency
• A solid understanding of retail math including sales, gross margin, markup, and markdown calculations
• Strong communication skills and comfort presenting insights to leadership and cross-functional partners
• Experience driving planning outcomes in a dynamic, evolving retail environment
• The ability to thrive as a self-starter who balances structured reporting with creative problem solving

Work setup
This position is hybrid with regular collaboration in New York City and flexibility for focused remote work. You’ll join a team that values execution excellence, cross-functional partnership, and continuous improvement.
 
Compensation and benefits

• Salary Range: $90,000 to $110,000 (base)
