Position Overview: As the Fashion Director, you will be at the forefront of our brand’s creative vision, leading the development and execution of innovative fashion concepts and strategies. You will oversee all aspects of the design process, from trend forecasting and conceptualization to final production. This role requires a dynamic leader with a keen eye for detail, exceptional creative vision, and the ability to inspire and drive a team of designers and fashion professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Creative Leadership:
    • Develop and articulate the brand’s fashion vision and strategy.
    • Lead the design team in creating cohesive and trend-setting collections that align with the brand’s identity and market demands.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative design environment.
  2. Trend Analysis and Forecasting:
    • Conduct comprehensive trend research to identify emerging fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market opportunities.
    • Translate trend insights into actionable design concepts and strategies.
  3. Product Development:
    • Oversee the entire design process, from initial sketches to final product development.
    • Ensure high-quality standards in materials, craftsmanship, and production techniques.
    • Collaborate with merchandising and production teams to ensure timely and efficient product launches.
  4. Brand Management:
    • Maintain and enhance the brand’s identity and ensure consistency across all collections and marketing materials.
    • Work closely with marketing and PR teams to develop compelling campaigns and product launches.
    • Represent the brand at industry events, fashion shows, and press engagements.
  5. Team Leadership:
    • Mentor and manage the design team, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
    • Foster a positive and productive team culture that encourages creativity and innovation.
    • Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations.
  6. Budget and Resource Management:
    • Develop and manage the fashion department budget.
    • Allocate resources effectively to maximize productivity and meet project deadlines.
    • Negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure cost-effective production.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in fashion design or a similar role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven track record of creating successful and commercially viable fashion collections.
  • Strong knowledge of fashion trends, fabrics, and production processes.
  • Exceptional creative vision with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
