Business Analytics Practice Lead – Remote (PA)

We are partnering with a forward-thinking organization to hire a Business Analytics Practice Lead who will build and lead a high-impact analytics consulting function. This is a unique opportunity to shape how organizations leverage data to drive measurable business outcomes, while working closely with executive stakeholders and delivering meaningful, insight-driven solutions.
 
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution. You will define the analytics vision, establish scalable frameworks, and lead both client engagements and internal capability building.
 
What You’ll Be Doing
Practice Development and Strategy

• Build and launch a business analytics consulting practice aligned with mid-market ERP clients
• Define service offerings, engagement models, and value propositions for executive audiences
• Develop repeatable frameworks, methodologies, and best practices
• Mentor and lead a growing team of BI developers and analysts

Analytics and Reporting Leadership

• Lead the design and delivery of analytics solutions across Power BI, Birst, and Omni platforms
• Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements
• Ensure alignment between business definitions, semantic models, and reporting outputs
• Deliver actionable insights that drive executive and operational decision-making

Power BI and Omni Development

• Develop and manage dashboards, reports, and datasets in Power BI
• Build and maintain Omni analytics to ensure consistent metric definitions
• Define centralized business logic to enable governed self-service analytics
• Write and optimize DAX measures and manage Power BI environments

Data Modeling and Architecture

• Design scalable dimensional and star schema data models
• Collaborate with data engineering teams on pipelines and warehouse architecture
• Integrate semantic layers with modern cloud data platforms
• Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of analytics solutions

Governance and Best Practices

• Establish governance standards across analytics platforms
• Implement row-level security and access controls
• Maintain clear documentation of KPIs, dashboards, and data definitions
• Promote best practices in version control, testing, and deployment

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data-related roles
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI
• Strong expertise in DAX, SQL, and data modeling
• Experience working with semantic layers such as Omni, LookML, or dbt metrics
• Background working with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, or Redshift
• Proven ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience leading teams or mentoring others in a consulting or client-facing environment

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with Omni Analytics
• Microsoft Power BI certification (PL-300 or similar)
• Familiarity with modern data stack tools and CI/CD for analytics
• Experience delivering executive-level dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions
