Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Develop and refine a scalable agency sales model.
  • Generate the majority of new business while managing new client acquisition strategies.
  • Drive revenue from new and select existing accounts.
  • Represent the company at regional networking events and conferences.
  • Present the full range of the company’s services including marketing strategy, web design/development, e-commerce, content marketing, email marketing, SEO, SEM, social media, graphic design, and programmatic marketing.
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline, cultivate prospects, and expand existing customer relationships using CRM tools.
  • Deliver sales presentations to decision-makers in targeted accounts.
  • Prepare initial quotes and proposals for qualified leads.
  • Achieve revenue and activity targets set by leadership.
  • Stay updated on evolving marketing and commerce tactics and platforms.
  • Manage and develop third-party relationships with platform providers and marketing agencies.
  • As the business grows, build and nurture a sales team to ensure ongoing success.


  • Proven success in business development and sales in a digital marketing agency or similar environment.
  • A deep understanding of the digital marketing landscape.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of numeracy and literacy with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships.
  • Well-presented and capable of presenting to senior client contacts.
  • Confident and persuasive, able to build rapport quickly.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Proven capability in managing the full sales cycle: prospecting, needs analysis, presentation, proposal, negotiation, and closing.
  • A positive record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
