An exciting subscription service is seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer to join their team. The responsibilities of this role include developing frontend and backend functionality, as well as working on intermediary APIs using React.js, Express.js, and PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate should possess a quick learning ability, be adaptable to new technologies, and drive platform growth.
Primary Responsibilities:
Write high-performance, maintainable code that adheres to best-practice style conventions and is well-documented.
Implement thorough unit testing and actively participate in overall testing processes.
Independently analyze, propose, and develop solutions for technical problems and issues.
Demonstrate strong communication skills by effectively collaborating with engineering management, leads, and peers to gather requirements, provide project updates, and address unexpected challenges.
Ensure tasks remain on schedule and maintain the quality and timeliness of project deliverables.
Assist with project management tasks.
Provide meaningful code review feedback to peers and strive to improve code quality.
Work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Foster curiosity, ask questions, propose solutions, and offer valuable insights.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of backend development experience, including proficiency in design, programming languages, algorithms, data structures, networking, and database design and optimization.
Prior experience in developing large-scale web applications and contributing to the architectural design of complex systems.
Strong proficiency in React.js.
Proficiency in Express.js and REST API workflows.
Knowledge and implementation of best security practices.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex issues to stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to plan project timelines, execute tasks, and follow the software development life cycle (SDLC).
