Job Summary:
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading, planning, managing, controlling, and closing our ERP implementation and upgrade projects. They will drive the projects to successful outcomes by achieving the stated goals, scope, budget, and timeline. The Project Manager will actively participate in building project schedules, planning activities, monitoring progress, documenting and resolving issues, and providing project reporting. Additionally, creating a positive and engaging environment for the project team is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to define project scope, goals, objectives, and business justification for various-sized and complex projects.
- Coordinate with professional services leadership to schedule consulting and development resources, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Provide timely support to clients, responding to inquiries via phone calls, emails, and other communication channels.
- Ensure successful project delivery through proactive planning, scheduling, and monitoring of planned and reactive work activities.
- Communicate the implementation process, approach, and project progress to key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage work schedules and redirect support calls and requests to the appropriate resources.
- Maintain clear and effective communication channels throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage the task list to ensure efficient task management throughout the week.
- Establish and manage client expectations through effective verbal and written communication.
- Follow up with clients after the completion of development projects to ensure satisfaction.
- Continually assess project risks and issues, maintaining risk and issue logs and developing contingency plans.
- Define an effective communication strategy for projects, ensuring stakeholders are informed of project risks, progress, and budget.
- Interact with clients, consulting and development teams, services managers, and the Director of Services Operations to confirm project schedules and address new requests.
- Gather and communicate client feedback to improve processes and enhance client service.
- Regularly update clients on project schedules.
- Customer Satisfaction and Resource Management:
- Monitor customer satisfaction regarding delivered work and service expectations, addressing concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with services management to maintain a skills matrix and optimize resource utilization.
- De-escalate client complaints and report significant concerns to appropriate management.
- Address rework immediately to minimize its impact on the client.
- Interact with internal teams, contractors, and clients as needed.
- Manage and implement changes in communication and scheduling to ensure timely service delivery.
- Ensure assigned technical resources have a solid understanding of client business requirements and objectives.
- Administrative Tasks and Process Improvement:
- Utilize ERP applications (such as SyteLine/CloudSuite Industrial) or other software tools to track project progress, consultants’ time, and expenses.
- Support process improvements and projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing ERP software experience in project management.
- Prior experience with SyteLine is highly advantageous; candidates with SyteLine project experience will be given priority.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of project management experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex ERP projects.
- PMP certification required (must be obtained within 12 months from date of hire).
- Strong interest in developing project management capabilities, toolsets, and methodologies.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 35% to client
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in risk management planning and understanding of risk management during projects.
- Strong attention to detail and critical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent executive-level communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work with team members and executives.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Project).
- Deadline-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
