A fast‑growing, mid‑market eCommerce brand is searching for a senior or architect‑level SFCC engineer who can own both Salesforce Commerce Cloud (DemandWare) architecture and release management across multiple consumer storefronts.
What You’ll Tackle
- Maintain & modernize production apps: code upgrades, third‑party library / container image updates, security patching, performance tuning, complex issue triage.
- Drive releases end‑to‑end: branch strategy, CI/CD pipeline oversight, cross‑team coordination, roll‑back plans, and post‑deploy validation.
- Set the bar for coding standards, scalability decisions, and technical documentation.
- Support and mentor product, QA, and DevOps teams; provide hands‑on guidance and technical assistance.
- Automate testing (unit / integration) to improve release quality and speed.
Must‑Have Skills
- SFCC B2C server‑side scripting (controllers, OCAPI, Page Designer)
- Expert JavaScript/Node.js and solid Python for tooling / scripts
- Solid Java experience is mandatory for this role (doesn’t need to be recent experience if you have solid foundations)
- Git & Bitbucket mastery; proven track record in branching models and pull‑request review
- CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitbucket Pipelines)
- Familiarity with Docker and Linux server administration
Nice‑to‑Have
- Kubernetes or similar orchestration, RPG exposure
- Jest / JUnit / pytest / Selenium automation suites
- Jira / Confluence workflow finesse
