Shopify Delivery Solutions Architect – Remote (US)

We are partnering with a leading Shopify Plus consultancy to find a Delivery Solutions Architect who thrives at the intersection of strategy, architecture, and hands on technical leadership. This is a high impact, fully remote role where you will shape enterprise commerce ecosystems, guide complex migrations, and elevate engineering teams to deliver best in class Shopify solutions.

About the Role
As Delivery Solutions Architect, you will own the architectural vision across multiple Shopify Plus engagements. You will translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and future ready commerce ecosystems while mentoring engineers and partnering closely with project managers and client stakeholders.
 
This role is ideal for someone who combines deep Shopify expertise with strong leadership instincts and a passion for building high performing teams.
 
What You Will Do
Technical Leadership and Architecture
• Architect end to end Shopify Plus solutions for enterprise brands
• Lead large scale platform migrations and replatforming initiatives
• Design and oversee complex integrations between Shopify and ERP, CRM, PIM, and other enterprise systems
• Define integration strategies using APIs, middleware, and custom applications
• Ensure scalability, performance, security, and maintainability of all solutions
• Lead code reviews, system design sessions, and technical decision making
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and architectural approaches
 
Delivery and Team Leadership
• Provide hands on guidance to engineering teams throughout the full project lifecycle
• Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning
• Support project managers with timelines, scope alignment, and technical risk mitigation
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects while maintaining quality and delivery standards
• Contribute to internal tooling and frameworks to improve efficiency and consistency
 
Client Partnership and Strategy
• Engage with client stakeholders to align technology solutions with strategic business objectives
• Present architectural recommendations and realistic delivery timelines
• Provide technical consulting that strengthens client relationships and drives long term value
 
What You Bring
Leadership and Management
• Proven experience leading cross functional engineering teams
• Strong communication skills across technical and non technical audiences
• Strategic thinker with the ability to balance big picture vision and practical execution
• Experience working in Agile environments
 
Shopify Ecosystem Expertise
• Advanced experience with Shopify Plus
• Deep knowledge of Shopify APIs, including GraphQL and REST
• Experience building custom Shopify apps
• Expertise in headless commerce architectures
• Familiarity with custom integrations and the broader Shopify ecosystem
 
Integration and Migration Experience
• Demonstrated success leading large scale e commerce migrations
• Strong API integration strategy experience
• Experience with middleware and integration platforms
• Knowledge of data migration tools and omnichannel commerce architectures
 
Technical Stack
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Ruby, or similar languages
• Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures
• Strong understanding of modern web technologies and frameworks

Compensation and Employment Details
• Employment Type: Full Time
• Work Setup: Fully Remote
• Location: Open to candidates based in the United States
• Salary Range: $175,000 to $200,000 USD annually, depending on experience, skill set, and geographic location
