Position Overview:
The VP of Business Development will lead the strategy and execution of all new business initiatives, with a primary focus on expanding our client base in the hospitality industry. This role requires a visionary leader who understands the nuances of marketing for hospitality businesses and can build meaningful relationships with clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, identifying new business opportunities, and leading a team of business development professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company growth goals and the needs of the hospitality sector.
- Identify emerging trends in hospitality marketing and adjust business strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to drive new revenue streams and improve client acquisition processes.
- Client Acquisition & Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the hospitality industry, including hotels, restaurants, and resorts.
- Identify and target potential clients, focusing on lead generation and conversion in line with company goals.
- Work closely with the marketing and creative teams to craft proposals that meet client needs and present solutions that drive measurable results.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to represent the agency and expand the client network.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the business development team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Partner with the VP of Marketing, VP of Operations, and other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to client acquisition and retention.
- Oversee the development of sales presentations, RFP responses, and other client-facing materials.
- Revenue Growth & Reporting:
- Establish and monitor KPIs to measure success in business development initiatives.
- Develop pricing strategies, proposals, and contracts that are competitive and profitable.
- Prepare regular reports and updates for senior leadership on the status of key deals, forecasts, and overall business development efforts.
Qualifications:
- Prior Business Development experience at a Marketing Agency
- Experience selling to hospitality sector
